About service books
Service books determine which services are available
on your BlackBerry® device. If your device is
integrated with an account that uses the BlackBerry
Enterprise Server™, your system administrator can
send service books to your device that determine
whether features such as remote address lookup and
wireless calendar synchronization are available.
Receive new service books
Service books arrive on your BlackBerry® device in one
of the following ways:
• over the wireless network from your service
provider or system administrator
• through the BlackBerry Desktop Software when
you connect your device to your computer
Accept new service books
Service books should be accepted automatically by
your BlackBerry® device. If a new service book is
available and it is not accepted automatically, a book
icon appears in the device status section of the screen.
To accept the service book manually, in the device
options, click Advanced Options. Click Service Book.
Click the new service book. Click Accept.
